CSA is a HUD Approved nonprofit that currently serves 2,800 clients annually by providing rental, home buying, credit and home buyer counseling and education. We also offer more than 60 educational workshops annually outreaching to about 1,500 individuals. CSA’s HUD Housing Counselors provide information about renting, fair housing, budgeting, financial literacy, credit, homeownership and topics to improve their financial situation. All services are offered in English, Arabic and Spanish and we provide the following counseling services:

Homebuyer, Credit, Budget, Savings and Financial Empowerment Counseling and Education:

CSA offers individual counseling and group education on: credit; budgeting; homebuyer; down payment assistance; pre-rental; budgeting for mortgage; credit improvement; debt reduction; savings improvement; and money management. We also provide the HUD Certified Home Buyer educational class that is required for all Down Payment Assistance and First Time Buyer Programs. Rental Counseling:

CSA provides rental and landlord counseling to both tenants and landlords on a variety of housing topics to ensure they are aware of their rights and responsibilities. Topics include renter’s rights, rental assistance, evictions, lease terms, necessary repairs, habitability issues, notices, HUD Section 8 program, security deposits and unlawful detainers. CSA’s Counselors resolve general housing inquiries through a variety of methods including mediation. CSA also provides group educational workshops on fair housing, rental issues, landlord rules and regulations and community and homeless prevention services.
